1.Creative Crowdsourcing- We had the most freedom on this project, and when we were able to collaborate with all of our classmates to make one cut, it was so exciting to see the creativity that we all had to offer. I want to keep making content like this. 2. Earth Art Animation- Another project that allowed for a bunch of freedom, and we were able to control pretty much the whole scene in any way we wanted to. 3.Bolex Long take- The long take was very interesting to work with, as it gave perspective on what it was like to shoot back in the day. 4.Rythmic Edit- Not very free in terms of creativity, and the edit did not come out the way I hoped. 5.Video Letter- Was more or less vague and did not learn too much from it. 6.Film Manipulation- The project was incredibly time consuming and I feel like i didn't get the payoff I was hoping for after putting so much work into it, only to not be what I thought.
While working on our Bolex film projects, I thought the experience was incredibly interesting because of how far we've come in terms of production. Working with such sensitive constraints makes shooting infinitely more difficult, almost to the point where you have to focus on just getting the camera to work properly before you can think about what you're shooting. Although, it was very rewarding to see what we were able to shoot, and  I love the aesthetic it provides on screen.
6x1 cinema is incredibly interesting to me because of flexibility and allowance to let me create anything I wish to create, without judgment. The class quite literally is liberating in a world of cinema that requires you to follow strict formulaic design in order to have a quality image. I can't wait to continue to create unique and diverse ways of perceiving cinema.
Rough theatre is the theatre that doesn't take place in the theatre! that's a mouthful. basically, rough theatre is what happens in the audience while watching theatre, or the interactions that happen outside of the performance. It is designed to make the audience feel apart of the cinema. This directly relates to our Bolex assignment where we have to perform outside what is seen on screen.
